Exhibitor Voices
Dr. Klaus Scho, CEO, Germandrones GmbH, Berlin, Germany
The Berlin-based company was founded nine years ago and employs around 50 people. Dr. Klaus Scho: “We develop, build and sell drones for areas such as inspecting critical infrastructure, supporting security and rescue services and transporting relief supplies.” He is looking forward to the premiere of XPONENTIAL Europe: “When I heard about the trade fair in Düsseldorf, my expectations were high. Now I'm delighted that so many people are here. After the successful start, I hope that there will be many more trade fairs in Düsseldorf in the future and that the good concept will be further developed and expanded.” His aim is to initiate as many sales as possible, which he hopes to achieve by maintaining and expanding his network.
Dr. Steve Clark, Founder, Cambridge Sensoriis Ltd, Cambridge, UK
Cambridge Sensoriis Ltd. is a British company that specializes in the development of radar solutions for drones. The founder Dr. Steve Clark explains: “There are two special features that our technology makes possible. The landing of drones on moving objects. And avoiding collisions with other moving objects in the air. Radar is ideal in the dark and in bad weather. We are a niche provider, but the demand is high.” Areas of application are: Security, industry, infrastructure inspection, logistics and defense. Dr. Steve Clark feels at home at XPONENTIAL Europe: “We are satisfied because there is no better access to our target group. There is a mixture of large players and small, specialized companies here.”
Diego Grübler, New Ventures Director, Dronivo GmbH, Ludwigshafen, Deutschland
Dronivo offers comprehensive services in the field of drone technology, for example for defense, reconnaissance and logistics. Diego Grübler explains the wide range of services: “We work together with all relevant drone manufacturers, provide advice, training and issue certificates. Everything from a single source. Our target groups are primarily large companies and public authorities. We also take on the management of large-scale projects and provide demonstration devices if required.” He considers it important that the trade fair is now taking place in Düsseldorf for the first time. “XPONENTIAL Europe fills a very important gap for our industry here in Europe. A trade fair like this has been missing here to strengthen the location and underline the importance of security topics in Europe. Düsseldorf is thus also expanding its technological expertise. The potential is huge.” The Managing Director is looking forward to numerous meetings with existing and new customers.
The managing director enthusiastically reports on the advantages of his drone: “Our main product, the Xer X8, is characterized by a flight time of approx. 2.5 hours with a payload of 3 kg and is designed for use in adverse weather conditions. We fly with a hybrid of an electric and 2-stroke engine. Other drones are much less powerful.” Kristofer Skantze is satisfied with the XPONENTIAL Europe: “We have met many existing customers. We have also had good discussions with new business.” He sees great potential for the trade fair location in the future: “I expect more exhibitors next time, because word will spread quickly about the new Düsseldorf location. Compared to other trade fairs in this sector, XPONENTIAL EUROPE is one step ahead.”
Adolfo E. Quintannilla, Sales Representative, MEJZLIK, Czech Republic
MEJZLIK produces carbon fiber propellers and offers solutions for various applications, including drones and engine manufacturers, and supports its customers from development and testing through to production. The market has grown strongly, especially in our target group, the defense sector.” He is also pleased about the many good discussions: “We are receiving very specific inquiries here, which is pleasing. The discussions are in-depth and we learn a lot about our customers and their needs. XPONENTIAL Europe has definitely been worthwhile for us.”

The US company advises companies, investors and private individuals on their financial decisions. The market of autonomy and robotics plays a central role. “We must and want to be informed, not only about the American market, but also about the European market. Anselm Dötterl, Head of Sales Industrial, Globe Flight GmbH, Deutschland
Anselm Dötterl started his research about XPONENTIAL EUROPE last year because he is considering being an exhibitor at the next trade fair. That's why he now took two days on site. Cooperation meetings are also on his trade fair agenda. Global Flight was the first European DJI drone dealer, known as one of the world leaders. When asked how the industry has developed, he reports: “I have been active in the industry for 14 years. At that time, the idea of drones was still about toy goods, then applications for the photography and film industry were added until we now specialize in industrial solutions. The development is exciting, and that can also be seen here at the trade fair.”
